• Vietnam curreny is Dong, comprising the following bank notes: 200 dong, 500 dong, 1.000 dong, 2.000 dong,  5.000 dong, 10.000 dong, 20.000 dong, 50.000 dong, and 100.000 V.N.dong.

• The U.S. dollar is more or less a second currency in Vietnam.

• Visitors may encounter difficulties exchanging other currencies. Traveler cheques and credit cards such as debit cards are not yet widely accepted but can be converted at banks, hotels, major restaurants.

• Foreign currency can be exchanged for dong at your hotel or at the State Bank of Vietnam.
